ABOUT
Our Spring Open Exhibition offers an opportunity for artists across South Wales to exhibit with us. It is open to artists at any stage of their careers; whether established, emerging or aspiring. Selected work will be displayed in the gallery as part of our Spring Show from 10.05.25 - 01.06.25.
This opportunity is open to all artists based in Wales & working in a 2D medium, producing either original artworks or limited edition prints. The deadline for submissions is midnight 01.04.25. Submissions must align with the following theme;
- ARCADIA -
A utopian connection with nature, or a feeling in harmony within landscape, natural space & the idyllic.
SUBMISSION INFORMATION & GUIDANCE
Applications must be submitted in accordance with the following or they will not be considered. // Rhaid cyflwyno ceisiadau yn unol â'r canlynol neu ni fyddant yn cael eu hystyried.
GENERAL RULES
- Artists must be based in Wales.
- Submitted work MUST be available for sale and to be sold exclusively via M.A.D.E for the duration of the exhibition.
- Any sales enquiries resulting from the gallery exhibition will be respected and passed through the gallery, on the same terms.
- Submissions must be sent with a completed form (download available below) to our submissions email - gallery@cardiffmade.com
- Email subject MUST read;
'ARCADIA SPRING OPEN ENTRY 2025 - ARTIST NAME'.
- Submission fee must be paid in conjunction with your entry.
- Images of work submitted for consideration must be named with the title, dimensions, medium & price of the piece they are taken from.
- Image file-type should be jpeg or png. Submission forms should be in PDF or .docx format (please convert .pages files to either of these formats).
- Chosen work should align with this year's theme of 'Arcadia'.

RESTRICTIONS TO THE DIMENSIONS / MEDIUM OF WORK
- Artwork can be any medium provided it is 2D or a wall-based relief - no larger than 100 cm in any dimension.
- All works must be original pieces or limited edition prints.
- We are asking for a maximum of 5 artworks for consideration per artist from which up to 3 pieces may be selected from successful applicants.

- Gall gwaith celf fod yn unrhyw gyfrwng ar yr amod ei fod yn 2D neu'n cerfwedd wal - dim mwy na 100 cm mewn unrhyw ddimensiwn.
- Rhaid i bob darn fod yn ddarnau gwreiddiol neu brintiau argraffiad cyfyngedig.
- Gofynnwn am uchafswm o 5 darn o gelf i bob artist eu hystyried, a gellir dewis hyd at 3 darn o blith yr ymgeiswyr llwyddiannus.
- Am gwestiynau pellach ynglŷn â chymhwysedd darnau, cysylltwch â'r oriel.
PRICING & FEES
- We charge a nominal fee for all our open calls to cover the administration costs of running the exhibition. It is £10 per artist for this exhibition. The exhibition fee is non-refundable and must be included with your submission.
- You can pay the submission fee via our online shop or arrange payment by contacting the gallery.
- All works submitted must be priced & available for purchase. If you are having difficulty pricing your work, submit pieces with a guide price and a final price can be worked out with the gallery.
- Cardiff M.A.D.E has a commission rate of 40% for the sale of all artwork - please factor this into the pricing of your work.
