We have never been so connected yet so alone. The internet has become integral to our daily lives, no element of our existence seems untouched by it. But have we been caught and paralysed in the web? We are constantly on display and exposed, yet anonymous. We seem to be shouting and mute, intertwined and fragmented all at once. Using soft pastels on paper my work is an expression of my unease in this virtual world.

Loss, absence and what makes a room feel empty are primary aspects of my practice. I predominantly focus on the reminiscing and haunting aspect of associating a moment in time with an interior. Through this work I search for value in inanimate things and contemplate absence of life in a domestic environment.
